“META X: Advanced vibro-acoustic analysis in railways. The ATPA method” for Alstom Transport. The following tasks were carried out for this project:
  1. Development of the testing procedures to obtain the vibro-acoustics specifications of the different subsystems of any train (for both internal noise contributions and external ones with the train stationary).
  2. Evaluation of the interior noise contributions of all the different subsystems of the train under normal operation conditions. 
  3. Evaluation of the external noise contributions of all the different subsystems of the train for stationary operating conditions.
  4. Training: ICR trained Alstom employees in the application of the ATPA procedures.

During this project, the following trains were testest:

  • ATPA of the Weast Coast Main Line train en Asforby, UK.
  • ATPA of the Vextus train in Salzgitter Depot, Germany.
  • ATPA of the Coradia in Salzgitter Depot. 
 
 

ICR is an Acoustic Engineering resolving problems of noise and vibrations. ICR works for the railway, car, industry, construction and environmental sectors. The company researches (R+D) new methods to solve vibroacous-tic problems. ICR also designs software for quality control and transmis-sion loss and teaches acoustics to private companies and official colleges.
