TRAINING IN ACOUSTIC AND VIBRATION AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR

Last November, ICR deliver a two day training session on acoustics and vibration in automotion at the Daimler-Mercedes Benz factory in Victoria, which specializes in vans. The syllabus of the training course was specially prepared in accordance with the needs of the engineers at Mercedes. It covered, among other topics, the basic principles of acoustics and vibration, the principal sources of noise in an automobile, advanced methods of sound and vibration analysis (modal analysis, transmission path analysis, and more) and the testing and evaluation of sounds such as squeaks and rattles.
