Dynamic characterization of wind turbines using Operational Modal Analysis (OMA)

Ingeniería para el Control del Ruido (ICR) has recently finished the final phase of the R+D project Invent, based on the study of the Operational Modal Anlaysis (OMA), for the wind turbine manufacturer Alstom Wind.

ICR work on this project consisted of the software development for the realization of OMA in wind turbines. The main novelty which includes this software from the others available on the market is its capability to automate the proces of OMA. From temporal records, in different speed wind, the software is able to generate in an automatic way, diagrams of the evolution of the frequencies of the wind turbine in relation to wind speed. Finally, ICR has formed the Alstom Wind engineers in the application of the developed software. 

ICR is an Acoustic Engineering resolving problems of noise and vibrations. ICR works for the railway, car, industry, construction and environmental sectors. The company researches (R+D) new methods to solve vibroacous-tic problems. ICR also designs software for quality control and transmis-sion loss and teaches acoustics to private companies and official colleges.
