Design and development of the LEViS (Launcher for the Equipment Vibration Specification) custom made software

Ingeniería para el Control del Ruido SL. (ICR) and Alstom Transport have developed a calculation tool for determining the maximun level of vibration of an auxiliar equipment under specific conditions in a train: LEViS (Launcher for the Equipment Vibration Specification).  This tool of structural-borne noise prediction, developed for being used by Alstom Transport, have a new metodology of auxiliar equipments characterization for any mode of train functioning

Focused on railway and equipments manufacturers, provide the user the maximun level of vibration of the equipment to be installed from the maximun level of noise defined in the interior of a train. Once the maximun vibration level is defined, the customer can specify the results throgh a publication of a report and verify them with the level expected.
 
The final result is a software tool developed in Matlab (LEViS) which provide the user both sound pressure level prediction generated by auxiliars equipments through structural way and the vibrational specification for the equipments manufacturers.

ICR is an Acoustic Engineering resolving problems of noise and vibrations. ICR works for the railway, car, industry, construction and environmental sectors. The company researches (R+D) new methods to solve vibroacous-tic problems. ICR also designs software for quality control and transmis-sion loss and teaches acoustics to private companies and official colleges.
