Sound insulation in complex systems.

No acoustic engineer can work without acoustic software to calculate the sound insulation of multiple walls and complex structures. However, the majority of acoustic software available on the market nowadays uses an excessive amount of simplifications, which result in a program that is not very useful to carry out accurate noise predictions. ICR has developed software that deals with this problem. It is based on a combination of theorical methods and laboratory measurements which produce predictions that are as close as possible to reality. The result is software that not only takes into account complex systems with multiple walls, but also considers the coupling between areas at low frequency and those with indirect noise transmission paths.

ICR is an Acoustic Engineering resolving problems of noise and vibrations. ICR works for the railway, car, industry, construction and environmental sectors. The company researches (R+D) new methods to solve vibroacous-tic problems. ICR also designs software for quality control and transmis-sion loss and teaches acoustics to private companies and official colleges.
