Architectural Acoustics

Within the scope of building acoustics, ICR treats architectural acoustics as a separate field and one which requires specific and specialized treatment, both to achieve the best acoustics inside a location and to optimize the sound insulation between rooms.

Work procedure

By measuring the parameters that make up a room, analysing the acoustic characteristics of the construction materials and the use of our own tools as internationalyy accepted simulation programs, ICR is able to design the acoustic conditioning for each room in the most appropiate manner, as well as remodeling an area in order to improve the acoustics. The company also conducts complete indoor acoustic projects (geometry, absorption and diffusion) in the audiovisual field, including speaker systems, mixing, recording and control.

  • Measurement of acoustic insulation between rooms and/or buildings.
  • Acoustic conditioning of rooms, auditoriums, theaters and/or multi-purpose sports courts.
  • Advisory acoustic engineering services for the design of rooms.
  • Remodeling of buildings adapting audio characteristics.
  • Sound system and measurement services in accordance with the needs of each customer.
  • Acoustic absorption measurement using Kundt´s tube.
  • Reverberation time measurement.
  • The design of special absorbent products based on the characteristics of the materials.
  • The design of recording studios. 

ICR is an Acoustic Engineering resolving problems of noise and vibrations. ICR works for the railway, car, industry, construction and environmental sectors. The company researches (R+D) new methods to solve vibroacous-tic problems. ICR also designs software for quality control and transmis-sion loss and teaches acoustics to private companies and official colleges.
